Application of a Smart Cities’ Index to the Reality of Quebec

This project objective is to adapt to the reality of Quebec City a model (10 governance indicators) developed in South Korea that allows evaluation of the way that cities promote innovation by the adoption and implementation of information and communication technology solutions. This project will allow to development of a performance measure tool adapted to Quebec’s reality and evaluation of the performance of urban innovation.
Citizen Impact
- Optmize services offered to citizens by the identification of auspicious sectors that welcome innovation.
Economic Development
- Allows to optimize government procedure’s efficacity by the adoption of new technologies that correct deficiencies that have been identified by the model.
R&D Contribution
- Develop an innovation performance measurement system that can adapt to the different realities of Quebec’s municipalities.
